FAQ

Which are the main differences between Inpeco systems and the ones of other competitors?
Inpeco solutions differentiate from most of the competitors because of the great openness and flexibility that allows high level of customization and the connection with  any diagnostic analyzers, with no constraints.

Our systems also allow to run in a full automatic way all the steps of the clinical analysis of a tube, including the storage with different capacities (from 9.000 to 30.000 tubes) and a totally integrated software (Nemo) allowing to have all information and results in one single place.

How many Inpeco systems are placed over the world?
Thanks to multinational collaborations with our strategic partners, there are more than 300 systems placed all around the world.

How much does an Inpeco automation system cost?
The price of Inpeco solutions is largely depending from the size of the configuration and the number of connected  analyzers. Consultancy service offered by Inpeco helps customers to find the best solution to satisfy both  laboratory needs and budget.

How big, in terms of size, is an Inpeco automation system?
All Inpeco systems guarantee compactness and small footprint. Flexibility and modularity allow to design the most appropriate FlexLab configuration able to suit any laboratory shape and size.

How does Inpeco guarantee support to customers?
Inpeco offers consultancy and support services to help customers during all steps of the lab set up. From lab layout evaluation phase to on-site assistance, Inpeco never lets customers alone.

Has Inpeco a sales force?
No, inpeco does not have its own sales force because we rely on our strategic partners for the distribution of our products.
When requested by Customers, under certain conditions Inpeco can directly serve them from the feasibility to the lab lay out, from installation to training to after sales service.

Which are the benefits of installing FlexLab with Nemo?
Nemo assures the total integration of FlexLab with other diagnostic platforms present in the laboratory, increasing data communication speed and security, allowing access to all information and data from one single station.

Some years ago I heard about Inpeco working with San Raffaele hospital for an automatic drug distribution system, the so called “intelligent trolley”. What about it?
The project you are referring to has been completed and San Raffaele has the rights to develop the outcome of the collaboration at industrial level.

Inpeco is still active in this field and it is running intensive activities to develop new solutions in order to guarantee that any medical act is delivered in the right way, to the right person at the right time.

Automation systems are not subject to any regulation, so how can you guarantee they properly operate?
This is due to the fact that automation is “simply” responsible for delivering a certain tube to the right analyzer which, at the end, remains responsible for running the requested tests and giving the right results.

In a way, automation cannot provoke errors being the analytical results produced by the analytical instruments.

Why should I introduce a Total Lab automation instead of doing it for the highest workload area, such as Serum area?
The real aim of automation is reducing human manipulation, avoiding safety issues as well as risk of mistakes. In this perspective, the ideal solution would be the phlebotomist to be the last person touching the tube so that the lab can load all the tubes in a single point having them stored, at the end of the process, in a unique place. This is the best way to achieve safety, traceability and efficiency.
