Lab Automation

Laboratory Automation comes from the need to simplify or completely eliminate repetitive and potentially dangerous operations which normally require human intervention.  Furthermore, automation becomes essential in performing those actions demanding high precision and accuracy levels, something the human hand is not able to assure. Like for instance, the separation of biological samples into several smaller amounts, so as that different analysis can be simultaneously performed.

Today, all tasks executed in a clinical lab, from pre to post-analytical steps - such as sorting, centrifugation, de-capping, aliquotting, storage, retrievial and tests re-run, can be automated in order to achieve a full standardized and more reproducible sample processing.
