JoPlus, the fully automated analyzer for the determination of the Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate (ESR) is now available. 

Designed to work only in combination with FlexLab Automation System, JoPlus, the new ESR analyzer, begins from a collaboration between Inpeco and Alifax, the Italian company leader in developing innovative laboratory instruments for the ESR determination.

The JoPlus analytical part is based on the Test 1 Alifax analyzer technology, the quantitative capillary photometer for the kinetic analysis of the red blood cells aggregation with results in 20 seconds, while the JoPlus blood samples mixer, developed  by Inpeco, ensures the correct mixing status of the blood before being analyzed. Blood samples, collected in EDTA tubes, can be processed by JoPlus analyzer only after the complete agitation cycle executed by FlexLab Automation System, that fully controls the entire analytical process, also managing the latex controls to check the good function and the calibration of the analyzer photometer.

The system, that reaches a throughput of 120 samples per hour, has already been successfully installed at SHL in Breda (The Netherlands).
