FlexLab™ and Thermo Fisher – New Interface coming soon
New Interface in development between Inpeco Total Laboratory Automation System and Thermo Fischer Cascadion SM Clinical Analyzer
Switzerland, May 2th, 2022 – Inpeco, the global leader in Total Laboratory Automation, announced that an agreement has been established with Thermo Fisher Scientific, the world leader in serving science, to develop connectivity between the Inpeco FlexLab TM laboratory automation system (LAS) and the Thermo Fisher Cascadion SM Clinical Analyzer. This interface will enable primary tubes on the Inpeco LAS to be transported to the Cascadion system for automated loading, pre-treatment, and analysis.
“This development, using the market leading automation and software provided by Inpeco, will further enhance the capability of the Cascadion system in managing samples in a fully automated manner. It will increase and enhance the analytical scope for laboratories using an LAS supported by Inpeco and add additional productivity benefits for Cascadion users” said Heikki Immonnen, director of product lifecycle and marketing, Thermo Fisher Scientific.
The Cascadion SM Clinical Analyzer is currently commercially available in the US and Europe, with continued expansion into new geographies. After the initial launch of Cascadion SM 25-OH Vitamin D assay, the CE-IVD marked Cascadion SM Immunosuppressants Panel was launched in Europe during 2020.
Inpeco’s FlexLab™ automation system grows with the changing needs of the customer, as adding modules or new analyser connections is easy by design.
